Children’s Health
Our Practice prides itself in been child friendly. We are proud to offer ongoing care for your children, including health checks, recording of your child’s weight and height, Immunisations, and so much more. We love to work with the parents towards improving your child’s health as they grow. We also offer a walk in clinic anytime of the opening hours for sick children.

Immunisations
We have highly trained Nurses who offer a variety of services including immunisations for a variety of different diseases including your child’s scheduled immunisations, adult immunisations including whooping cough, tetanus, flu vaccination and many more.

Chronic disease management
Chronic disease definition does vary, but our definition of chronic disease is any health complaint that may bother you for a long time and you can’t find a solution for it. Autumn ,spring, winter or all year long your allergy and asthma can fluctuate and here at Port Coogee Family Practice we understand your needs and we are here to help and will provide you with a written plan to sort it out so you can take it at home, school or work.

Aged care
With the population age growing, we understand that looking after the elderly is a must. With understanding how delicate their physical and mental state can be, we offer to help with disabled access, instant INR, no out of pocket cost for anything including driver’s license assessment and minor surgeries. We also offer comprehensive annual health checks, and have just introduced an over 65 year old dementia health assessment. We also offer acute critical care for minor injuries. With our flexibility and wide range of opening hours we are sure to have one of our doctors to tend you as soon as possible.

Our nurse is available for immunisations, dressing, care plans and other general non specific medical advice.

Management of Personal Health Information
The practice has strict guidelines on confidentiality, patient consent, consent for a 3rd party to obtain information, transferring of health information and access and security of personal health information.  It adheres to the The National Privacy Principles Act and the Health Records and Information Act.

URGENT RESULTS
Your Doctor or the Practice Nurse will attempt to contact you immediately via contact details supplied. If our attempts at contact are unsuccessful, a letter will be forwarded to your address to contact us urgently for an appointment.

NON URGENT RESULTS
The Nurse will contact you via phone to advise that you need to make an appointment to see your Doctor. If our attempts to contact you are unsuccessful, a letter will be forwarded to your address to contact us for an appointment.

If your results are NORMAL we will Not contact you. You are welcome to phone us to check if your results have been returned to us, but you will have to make an appointment to discuss these results.
At no time are results provided to you over the phone due to confidentiality laws.

Patients are contacted for recalls and reminders. If our attempts at contact are unsuccessful a letter will be forwarded to your address to contact us for an appointment.

CONTINUOUS EDUCATION
The practice is committed to supporting the doctors, nurses and administration staff to participate in on-going education.

DID NOT ATTEND (DNA) AND CANCELLATION POLICY
Due to the high demand for bulk billing appointments and the high number of non-attendances and cancellations for GP appointments, we will charge a fee of $40 per consultation or if a double consult a fee of $80, that is not attended or not cancelled within 4 hours of the appointment time.
If this account is not paid, a letter of suspension of services and the outstanding account will be issued. This letter will see your access to all services suspended until accounts are paid. There may also be the possibility of permanent suspension from the practice at the Doctors’ discretion for repeat offenders.

We have many wasted appointments every day and by introducing this policy we hope patients will consider cancelling their appointments so that others may access them if required.

Please ring 08 6465 4600 for an appointment.
If you need more time with the doctor, please tell the receptionist when you make your booking. Urgent medical problems will always be dealt with promptly.

Any emails or phone calls addressed to clinical staff will be forwarded to the appropriate physician and returned with a phone call.

After working as a GP in a busy and large group practice in Midland Dr Bloor is experienced and competent in all aspects of General Practice.
For the past 3 years he has specialised in the area of skin cancer medicine - this has involved completion of skin cancer certificate courses ,corporate skin cancer screening in Perth and country WA and  performing full body skin cancer checks and treatment ( both medical and surgical) of all types of skin cancer.

Dr Pass is particularly interested in women's health, paediatrics and mental health but enjoys the breadth of family practice. She worked in WA for 4 years from 2011-2015 and loved it so much she moved back and is now a part of the team at Port Coogee.

Dr Arthee trained in the United Kingdom at Cambridge and UCL. After working in the UK for 2 years she moved to Australia and hasn’t looked back! Arthee loves the diversity of general practice and her special interests include:
