Fees
Landsdale Medical Centre is dedicated to providing you with excellent health care at no cost as we are a bulk billing practice for all patients who hold a valid Medicare card (with some exceptions).
Some procedures require you to pay the full fee at the time of your consult and then get the rebate back from Medicare:
If you do not hold a valid Medicare Card (or visiting from overseas) the consultation fee will be $69.00.
Pre-employment Medicals and Driving Licence Medicals:
These are not covered by Medicare and will incure a cost.
Minor Surgery and Dressings:
There is a small cost ($5-$30) involved for consumables used during these types of procedures. This is because Medicare do not reimburse the practice for any consumables and to keep the practice viable in view of the rebate freezes and to maintain bulk billing for all we have had to introduce these fees.
Steroid full fee $99 rebate of $72.80.
Minor surgery / Skin cancer Variable (to be paid at follow uo appointment) $50 -100
Iron Infusion full fee $185.05 $75 rebate of $72.80
Wedge Excisions $185.05 $87.80 rebate of $72.80
Implanon Insertion / Removal or Replacement $86.70 /112.65 $26.70 /$62.65 rebate of $50
Mirena Insertion full fee $255.20 $55.20 rebate of $72.80
Mole Mapping full fee $155.05 $75.05 rebate of $72.80
Workers Compensation / Motor Vehicle Accidents:
These are private costs not covered by Medicare - unless you have a claim number you will need to pay the consultation fee at the time of your appointment to claim back from the insurance claim. These costs vary (on average $70-140).
Did Not Attend (DNA) and Cancellation Policy:
Due to the high demand for bulk billing appointments and the high number of non-attendances and cancellations for GP appointments, we will charge a fee of $40 per consultation or if a double consult a fee of $80, that is not attended or not cancelled. We require 2 hours’ notice for cancellation of appointment.

Information
Our Practice
Our friendly Administration Team consists of: Practice Manager - Robyn and Receptionists - Aileen, Amber, Alicia, Leanne, Carys, Monica, Merit, Tiffany and Danielle.
Our Practice Nurses are Naomi, Mary, Azimah and Anisha, they are available for immunisations, dressing, care plans and other general non-specific medical advice.
Management of Personal Health Information
The practice has strict guidelines on confidentiality, patient consent, consent for a 3rd party to obtain information, transferring of health information and access and security of personal health information. It adheres to the The National Privacy Principles Act and the Health Records and Information Act.
Urgent Results
Your Doctor or the Practice Nurse will attempt to contact you immediately via contact details supplied. If our attempts at contact are unsuccessful, a letter will be forwarded to your address to contact us urgently for an appointment.
Non Urgent Results
The Nurse will contact you via phone to advise that you need to make an appointment to see your Doctor. If our attempts to contact you are unsuccessful, a letter will be forwarded to your address to contact us for an appointment.
If your results are NORMAL we will Not contact you. You are welcome to phone us to check if your results have been returned to us, but you will have to make an appointment to discuss these results.
At no time are results provided to you over the phone due to confidentiality laws.
Patients are contacted for recalls and reminders. If our attempts at contact are unsuccessful a letter will be forwarded to your address to contact us for an appointment.
Confidential information is not included in these letters). All personal information is stored on a program specific, encrypted computer data base
Continuous Education
The practice is committed to supporting the doctors, nurses and administration staff to participate in on-going education.

If this account is not paid, a letter of suspension of services and the outstanding account will be issued. This letter will see your access to all services suspended until accounts are paid. There may also be the possibility of permanent suspension from the practice at the Doctors’ discretion for repeat offenders.

Appointments
Please ring 9302 5600 for an appointment.
If you need more time with the doctor, please tell the receptionist when you make your booking. Urgent medical problems will always be dealt with promptly.
Telephone Calls
You can contact the Medical Centre by ringing during surgery hours. Emergency calls will always be triaged appropriately and relevant requests passed onto the Doctor.

We adhere to high ethical standards and will not disclose any information to a THIRD PARTY without your written consent. Transferring of Health information, access and security of personal health information is protected at all times.
