We are a Bulk Billing Practice with the exception to some items that will incur a fee.

OUR PRACTICE
Our friendly Administration Team consists of:
Practice Manager Tameka Matson.
Our receptionists are Iris Parfitt and Mandanaour Razavianroudbardehour.
Our Practice Nurses are Georgina Jordan and Phoebe Gaston, they are available for immunisations, dressing, care plans and other general non specific medial advice.
Management of Personal Health Information
The practice has strict guidelines on confidentiality, patient consent, consent for a 3rd party to obtain information, transferring of health information and access and security of personal health information. It adheres to the The National Privacy Principles Act and the Health Records and Information Act.
URGENT RESULTS
Your Doctor or the Practice Nurse will attempt to contact you immediately via contact details supplied. If our attempts at contact are unsuccessful, a letter will be forwarded to your address to contact us urgently for an appointment.
NON URGENT RESULTS
The Nurse will contact you via phone to advise that you need to make an appointment to see your Doctor. If our attempts to contact you are unsuccessful, a letter will be forwarded to your address to contact us for an appointment.
If your results are NORMAL we will Not contact you. You are welcome to phone us to check if your results have been returned to us, but you will have to make an appointment to discuss these results.
At no time are results provided to you over the phone due to confidentiality laws.
Patients are contacted for recalls and reminders. If our attempts at contact are unsuccessful a letter will be forwarded to your address to contact us for an appointment.

CONTINUOUS EDUCATION
The practice is committed to supporting the doctors, nurses and administration staff to participate in on-going education.
DID NOT ATTEND (DNA) AND CANCELLATION POLICY
Due to the high demand for bulk billing appointments and the high number of non-attendances and cancellations for GP appointments, we will charge a fee of $40 per consultation or if a double consult a fee of $80, that is not attended or not cancelled within 4 hours of the appointment time.
If this account is not paid, a letter of suspension of services and the outstanding account will be issued. This letter will see your access to all services suspended until accounts are paid. There may also be the possibility of permanent suspension from the practice at the Doctors’ discretion for repeat offenders.
We have many wasted appointments every day and by introducing this policy we hope patients will consider cancelling their appointments so that others may access them if required.

If you need more time with the doctor, please tell the receptionist when you make your booking. Urgent medical problems will always be dealt with promptly.
TELEPHONE AND ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION
Electronic Communication is available via email at reception@eastperthmedicalcentre.com.au. All personal emails are stored on a program specific encrypted computer data base system. Any emails or phone calls addressed to clinical staff will be forwarded to the appropriate physician and returned with a phone call.

In the case of an emergency please call 000. For after-hours medical attention, please contact the following or alternatively seek the nearest Hospital Emergency Department:

Dr. Michael Gendy MBBch, FRACGP
Dr. Michael Gendy graduated from the University of Assyut, Egypt in 2002 and has attained a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He is a registered practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia.
A co-founder of Jupiter Health and Medical Services and Mole Mapping WA, Dr. Michael Gendy has been involved in full-time skin cancer practice since 2003 and had detected and treated thousands of skin cancers.
Dr. Michael Gendy postgraduate qualifications include a Certificate in Advanced Skin Cancer Surgery, Certificate of Aesthetic Medicine with American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine, Certificate in Primary Care Skin Cancer Medicine, Certificate in Dermoscopy and a Masters of Medicine (in Skin Cancer). He also regularly attends postgraduate training courses and conferences in skin cancer medicine.

Dr Shanti Sakarapani MBBS FRACGP
Dr Shanti Sakarapani is a very experienced female GP who is a Perth girl and graduated from UWA. She specialises in travel medicine including pre-travel advice and immunisation and post travel health consultations for over 10 years. You can be sure that she can help you with any of your travel queries!
Dr Sakarapani understands that travelling to new and foreign places will sometimes expose you to unfamiliar environments. However, with Dr Sakarapani you can feel safe as she will proved you with up to date health and personalised travel information.
Additionally, Dr Sakarapani has extensive experience in all general practice health care areas including Travel Medicine, Medicals including HUET, UKOOA, GP and Women's Health. With her specific areas of expertise she compliments the other doctors extremely well.
In her spare time, Dr Sakarapani loves travelling and spending time with her family.
